Academia Further Mystified #3

You may have noticed I haven't blogged as much as my usual OMG SO MANY POSTS amount this week.

I've been overwhelmed with school, along with my job. It's not that school is hard (well it is, but that's not the issue). It's that my teachers really are bad with scheduling.

See, here's the issue. My classes are once per week. When you miss a day, things get rough.

When a teacher calls off 3 times, we have 2 snow days, and we got a holiday off, in a 15 week semester, things get crammed.

One of my teachers, lets call him Bob, is particularly bad at scheduling.

Here we are, 4 weeks left in the semester, and we've had more sessions *not* in class, than actually in class. 3 weeks ago, the teacher assigned an exam, and nearly 2 months of homework to be due in a week.

On the day it was due a week later, he assigned another exam, along with *another* 2 months of homework* which he said he was going to post to blackboard that night, again, to be due in a week. He never did post the exam.
I showed up to class the next week, he didn't.

Inbetween, my uncle died, and I had to deal with funeral arrangements. I have another exam along with 2 weeks of homework for another class tuesday, a 6 page paper on index hashing, and another set of assignments due next wednesday.

To make it worse, while I'm not the only writer for this site, I'm the main writer. If I stop blogging, you guys will stop coming here. Posts are likely to be slowed until the end of the semester.

So where does this leave me?

Anyone else in a mid semester cram?

Jarred by my severe motivational problems, along with anxiety issues, I'm pretty lost.

  1. That's quite a lot of work. I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. Hope for the best of things.
